Below are a few questions that we often hear about our custom electric guitars and The Jaros Guitar Company. If you have others, please contact us.
A. Jim Jaros, the founder of The Jaros Guitar Company, sold his first custom designed guitar in 1996. Obviously, they’ve never been mass produced—and never will be. Read more about the Jaros Story.
A. To some, we’ve been a well kept secret for nearly 12 years. To others, well, they wouldn’t play another electric guitar. Jaros is a favorite of John Cook, Charlie Kelley, Mark Selby and other professionals and amateurs worldwide. We’ve kept building and selling guitars since 1996, but we’ve spent the last few years taking Jaros up yet another notch with our innovative design, advanced performance technology and premium materials. Until very recently, we haven’t done a lot of marketing or selling directly to customers (this web site was new in May 2007). We intend to always be a small company, but definitely want a lot more people worldwide to enjoy our custom electric guitars.
A. It’s the whole package, but the main difference is the one you can’t actually see. Every Jaros electric guitar is built with a unique three-quarter tenon, neck-through-body design, where the neck extends deep into the body of the guitar – instead of being bolted onto the body
A. No question there are other great custom guitars built by both big and small guitar companies. We think ours is different – giving you exquisite tone, remarkable intonation and exceptional versatility. We are a lot more interested in making great guitars than making a ton of money for shareholders or owners. Jaros NEVER cuts a corner to save a few production bucks; in fact we keep adding more expensive components, most which are standard options on every Jaros. For the sound, look, feel, and price --- and a Jaros is not an inexpensive guitar – you won’t be disappointed. We guarantee – or your money back. And that has never happened.
A. Maybe the biggest benefit of a Jaros guitar is its exceptional versatility. Rock, country, jazz, blues, bluegrass, or any genre you play. One guitar, and a spectrum of great sounds. Read more about the versatility of a Jaros custom electric guitar.
A. Absolutely. Although we don’t make custom acoustic guitars, we do make custom electric acoustic guitars. All you have to do is choose our acoustic Piezo option and, with a flip of a switch, your Jaros becomes an electric acoustic guitar – or you can mix and match any combination of sounds you want.
A. Amateurs and professionals from all over the globe. Read what our customers say. And hear what Nashville guitarist John Cook says about Jaros Guitars. Then, of course, there’s our Jaros Guitar Girl who looks gorgeous playing hers.
A. Jaros custom electric guitars not only sound terrific, but look terrific. We use a beautiful, but tough finish on every Jaros electric guitar so you don’t have to worry about handling yours with kid gloves. And Jaros guitars are the sturdiest, yet lightweight on the market because of our innovative design.
A. It’s easy, and you can use our “virtual guitar builder” to actually get a good idea what yours will look like. Here are the simple ordering steps.
